Profound and groveling thanks must go to Jonette, the crafter/kitchener blogger of The Hobby Horse, for giving me a set of three jumbo crochet hooks for Christmas, AND for taking me to the new location of Dreams Yarnshoppe [at Glorietta 5 in Ayala Center Makati]. Thank you, my dear friend, thank you so much.
I also must post a shout-out to Lilli de Leon, the owner of Dreams, as well as to her friends and staff, for welcoming me so warmly to the circle of local crocheters.
I am so excited for 2010 to get here. I've got January and February all scheduled up with the things I have to do when I've got free time:
January:
Polish NaNoWriMo 2009 novel, Came Clear. I really want to get at least the CreateSpace special proof copy, so I have to make sure the manuscript is all in working order before July rolls around. I also want to start working on designing the book cover.
Make scarf for the significant other.
Make a hat or two for myself.
February:
Finish polishing Came Clear and get it printed. [Wait with bated breath for book delivery.]
Make scarves for my brother and his girlfriend, who'll be flying in from Singapore in March.
On a related note to that last bit, it's strange that I'm a person with a sister who'll be heading off to college in six months' time. Eleven-year age gap for the win and the disorientation.
